Description

This universal application is focused on helping you locate and enjoy any night of the year the 110 Messier astronomical objects. Many of these can also be observed with your eyes without any instruments. You can sort and filter by many criteria (magnitude, elevation, constellation, visible or not, object type) and keep track of observed objects. For each Messier object, you can obtain a photo, a description, a map and a plot of its movement during the night. A sky map shows you the positions of all visible objects now. The goal is to give you the needed information quickly without needing to go through menus or use the keyboard so you can spend your time observing. A dynamic map allows you to zoom and pan and include/exclude elements like star names and constellations. The app will point you to where in the sky is the object you are interested in and also show you what you are looking at. The app also helps you prepare if you wish to see all 110 objects in one night in March during a Messier Marathon. A planning tool allows you, for any night of the year, to find out how many Messier objects will be visible. Happy observations!

This app is a UI mess, good idea but dreadfully executed. It barely works and does not appear to do what is promised. Too bad there is no way to get a refund, a waste of money at this point.

Débutant en astronomie, japprécie la rapidité avec laquelle les informations élémentaires sont données. Lapplication va droit au but. - Par contre, si on clique sur carte du ciel puis localiser, lapplication renvoi sur le bureau systématiquement. (Ipad4) - Linterface nest pas très jolie et la finition moyenne. Il était à 1,79 euros, et maintenant surement gratuit pour lancer lappli. Téléchargez-la.

Sous iPad on accède à toutes les infos importantes très facilement et ce depuis le même écran. Juste un bémol concernant la fluidité. Cela saccade pas mal pendant la localisation dobjet et pour passer dun écran à un autre, cest pas super ré actif. Donc, le contenu vraiment bien. L.ergonomie un peu moins.

This is really good start to a nice app. For those lucky enough to have good dark sky to do the marathon, this will be a really good tool. Even if you dont do the marathon, its still can be a great reference tool. Definitely worth the price.

The apt is great it is a five star to me. I used the apt last night till 3:30. It was flawless. The pictures were very accurate. It would be nice if it had the Caldwell list also. It has great features that I havent found in any other astronomy apt. It sorts the messiers that are up in several different ways. It is very user friendly. Thanks Pete Sent from my iPhone
