This apps uses the magnetometer to measure the magnetic field when the iPhone is placed near feromagnetic metal objects like speakers, phones, computers, stereos, etc.
Fun mode:
Alternatively to detect metal objects you can turn a fun mode on when you use it on your friends. You can then easily trigger the alarm sound by covering the proximity sensor of your iPhone with your finger while checking your friends. Have fun!
