Welcome to this summary of the Minto Pyramid Principle. The MPP is a technique for organizing complex thinking so that you can present it clearly in everyday business documents - memos, reports, proposals, presentations.
I developed the technique in the 1970s while I was working for McKinsey & Company, the worlds leading management consulting firm, and have taught it throughout the world ever since. My book, "The Minto Pyramid Principle: Logic in Writing, Thinking, and Problem Solving" has become the standard text used in major consulting, business, and government organizations.
If you are not familiar with the concept, or have heard about it and wanted to know more, this introduction will summarize the essentials. If you have had my course, it will provide a handy reference, so that you can have "Barbara in your pocket".
