In this day and age, TV and radio stations and other forms of media have become more than just platforms that just deliver musical programs and entertainment shows, they have evolved into active mediums that communicate societal messages deemed necessary to the development of societies at large.
Dhifm 95.2 is the first private radio station launched in Maldives as a
commercial entertainment, music and information radio station which transmits 24-hours. The station identifies with its modern listeners by way of a target-oriented music mix. Dhifm aims to satisfy listener’s needs in order to maintain majority market share through quality programming. Apart from this the station’s programming is predominantly driven, with the country’s top, young presenters on-air.
Dhifm 95.2 started transmitting the Visual Radio on 1st August 2009. It was the first Visual Radio to be licensed in Maldives. This creative service became an instant hit with viewers hailing this service as a new revolution in Maldives’s media sector. The members of staff have developed valuable experience in radio broadcasting and production expertise. Keeping this on mind with a minimum of 21 staffs, Maldives Media Company has landed its feet on there newest advancement of becoming a 24 hour TV Station named as “Dhifm Plus” with more entertainment and infotainment rousing more competition among other media channels within the sector.
