I know this is an old thread, but if anyone's still reading, do you know if there's another envelope budgeting app for macOS and iOS? The best candidate for a replacement to MoneyWell that I've been able to find is Banktivity. I'm exploring it now.

Direct Connect Banking
MoneyWell allows you to directly talk to hundreds of banks and other financial institutions giving you one-click access to your accounts. Setting up direct connect banking with MoneyWell is a breeze too. Simply follow the built-in guide that steps you through selecting your financial institution, entering your login information, and adding your accounts.
For those banks that don’t support direct connections, MoneyWell still makes it easy to avoid manual entries by allowing you to import common file formats like OFX, QFX, QIF, and CSV.
Secure Sync via Dropbox
Sync your MoneyWell data between multiple Macs or grab a copy of MoneyWell Express (for iPhone) and keep your data in your pocket. But at some point, this software is going to break, and I have little confidence that this (apparently lone and unskilled) developer will be able to fix it. I think the app is good enough that it could work well if someone with some budget and energy were to acquire it.
MoneyWell still works well, and I've had few problems with the (very dated) iOS apps for iPhone and iPad. it's quite odd that they're all so inconsistent. At any rate, it's pretty obvious by this point that the software is abandonware. The developer who took it over obviously tinkers with Xcode a bit, and occasionally releases an update that has some inconsequential tweaks.

Sincerement agréable en terme dinterface, mais malheureusement loin detre adapté pour la France (Solde anticipé absent etc..), CB à débit différé non gérés etc…
Excellente application mais peu mieux faire
La gestion de budget par enveloppe est vraiment simplifiée avec Moneywell, je suis très content de cette application, mais je trouve que plus ça va et finalement pas grand chose ne bouge. Toujours pas de traduction dans plusieurs langues ni de support, tout est fait pour que ça reste une application destinée aux américains et anglophones. Trop peu dévolutions ces derniers temps, léquipe si dynamique semble sêtre endormie sur ses lauriers. Proposez des vraies nouveautés pas que du cosmétique, lapplication dans le fond est certainement une des meilleures, écoutez les demandes et ouvrez vous au monde. Merci

Controle do dinheiro proativamente (antes de gastar) e não olhando relatórios depois que o dinheiro já está gasto para descobrir onde foi parar. A nova função de orçamento por eventos é demais!
Excelente aplicativo!
No início fiquei um pouco perdido com as contas agendadas, mas nada que um pouco de uso não deixe bem claro, mas o que mais gostei foi a versão para iPhone com sincronização via DropBox, isso ajuda muito para ter sempre contigo a possibilidade de acompanhar teus gastos e já fazer lançamentos em qualquer lugar, recomendo muito este software.
