Description
The More than a Mile App has been created in response to the insight that a large portion of BPS students rarely venture beyond a one mile radius of their homes and, as a result, do not benefit from exposure to the many free educational and cultural enrichment opportunities the city has
to offer. Ultimately, the purpose of the More Than a Mile App is to increase engagement of BPS students in activities across Boston – using the city itself as a classroom.
Bridging this divide will not only benefit the students but also the companies, civic institutions, and cultural organizations who will be able to more fully engage all of the young residents in their metro community. By attending tailored events, students will gain unique skills that beyond the classroom.
