Description

This is the best application for monitoring the battery life and signal strength of your MiFi wireless 3G modem. The MiFi doesnt have a battery or signal indicator on the device, so this app is a must have if you use a Novatel MiFi router from Verizon, Sprint, Virgin, Vodafone, or another carrier. (AT&T MiFis are not currently supported.) In addition to battery and signal status, the app also shows you the amount of data received and transmitted, time duration, and IP address for the current session. I recommend using this app to view the connection and battery status of your MiFi, and your carriers app to check your bill and monthly bandwidth usage. Supports Multitasking (on iOS 4) and Retina displays (on iPhone 4 and the new iPod Touch). My goal is to make this the best companion app for your MiFi router. So, stay tuned. MyMiFi currently only supports Novatel MiFis. Non-Novatel devices, such as Huawei devices, Samsung devices, or the Verizon FiveSpot, are not supported at this time. 4G devices are not officially supported yet, but Ive been told by quite a few users that the Verizon MiFi 4510L works great with the app. If you have a problem or question, and expect me to fix the problem or respond to the question, contact me instead of leaving a review: http://kepner.me/contact/

Als Besitzer einer Mifi von Novatel dachte ich, das Programm wäre etwas für mich. Aber es zeigt leider nichts anderes an, als man im Browser mit www.mifi (ohne Punkt am Ende) sehen kann. Zugegeben, es hat eine schöne Oberfläche, aber absolut keinen Mehrwert, als die Weboberfläche des Mifi. Ich dachte auch, dass die empfangenen und gesendeten Daten vielleicht intern im Programm gespeichert werden. Wenn man im Mifi zB. den Akku entfernt, sieht man im Anschluss auf dessen Weboberfläche, dass der Datenempfang wieder bei 0 MB beginnt. Ebenso bei diesem Programm. Meine Hoffnung war ja, dass die (Sende- und Empfangs-)Daten nach einem Akkutausch erhalten bleiben und ich so meinen tatsächlichen monatlichen Verbrauch erkennen kann. Aber dem ist nicht so. Einziger Pluspunkt: Die Oberfläche des Programms ist gelungen. Sieht schön aus. Schade. Wer über 2€ für eine schöne Oberfläche für die sowieso schon vorhandenen Weboberfläche des Mifi haben möchte, ist damit gut bedient. Aber für mich verbraucht es nur Speicherplatz auf dem iPod touch: gelöscht

Very bad

Perfect Companion to My MiFi

This is a simple app, and the perfect companion for my Verizon MiFi device. Often when I travel, I want to see the MiFi device battery and signal strength. Thats exactly what My MiFi, the app, does. Nice job! Two improvements I would like to see: Universal binary so I can use it on my iPad in full iPad glory. And report the data usage based on values reported from my Verizon online account. I often turn on and off my MiFi device on reporting data usage from the device itself is useless for me.

Great utility to check on the connectiin and battery status. Hopefully there is a possibility for iPad after the OS Update.
