This App is an interactive Text Book that can be used by learners wishing to consolidate or revise a similar course taught in school. It is also suitable as a resource for home-learners or teachers needing to flip lessons as it will cover essential knowledge and skills. Whilst based round the N5 Chemistry course taught in Scottish schools, there will be a large amount of overlap with similar KS4 courses (rest of UK) and K10 courses as taught in US. As well as Study materials there is also a substantial bank of appropriate questions that will be randomly selected to produce multiple Tests for each Topic. Tests will be time-limited and have a number of sophisticated features such as the ability to skip questions to attempt at the end, and the ability to mark questions for review. Tests also have a feature that allows a transparent overlay upon which learners can scribble, for example, quick calculations to help answer a particular question. Once submitted and marked, questions can be reviewed and feedback is supplied explaining what correct answer(s) are, giving reasons/explanations. Individual Tests are stored so that progress can be monitored. In addition, there are Quick Check questions within the lesson materials that allow for instant feedback on understanding. Lesson materials reflect the authors 30+ years experience of teaching Chemistry in a variety of schools and include high quality diagrams/illustrations. There are also links to suitably edited videos, carefully chosen to enhance the learning experience. (Videos are hosted externally so only available when connected to internet.)
