Exclusive expires too fast....

In Thailand · 15 years ago

I upgraded to the one month exclusive to keep this app working and it expired the next day!!! Do not upgrade this app until they figure out to keep track of subscriptions! Or just use Thaivisa instead!

Dead app

Has not worked for months and crashes when you attempt to use. Deleted and reinstalled but does not work. No highlights news feed, only guess it has been abandoned!

Free app, yes. But buggy and requires a very expensive subscription

Flyonzewall · 16 years ago

Yes, the app is free, but its only free for 30 days. Thats what you find out by way of a popup after you open the app for the first time. Look carefully at the screenshot above and the "Ultimate Exclusive Privilege". Thats right, it will cost you US$4/month to get the Ultimate Exclusive Privilege of using this app after a month. This has to be one of the most expensive paid news services available for the iPhone. Its extremely overpriced, particularly when you can get most of the content simply by browsing the Nation site with Safari. The app looks ok, and its easy to navigate. After playing with it a bit, I found it to be unstable, however. In browsing the "Drive in Thailand" section, the app crashed three times before I finished browsing all of them. The links were not formatted correctly to enable click to open. Very sloppy. Even just because of the exorbitant subscription cost, I give this app one star and will be deleting it at the end of my free one month trial. Finally, one note about the description given for the app here: For an English language newspaper, the English used in the app description here is pathetic. We hope that the Nation employs better English language editors and writers for their printed and electronic product. For example, what does this line from the description mean? "Innovations which The Nations iPhone app can further excel". I havent a clue.....

What a junk

Stay Away from this App

Adak · 15 years ago

After my 30 day trial period ended, I thought Id subscribe for a month. When I got my payment confirmation, I tried to activate the subscription, but I could neither access it with my iPhone nor by entering the ID and password I supplied during the registration process. Emails to customer service have gone unanswered. Stay away from this app!
