Description

Newsdesk provides a quick and elegant look at the worlds headlines, from a selection of major news outlets. While ordinary RSS readers give you hundreds of links to wade through, Newsdesk cuts it down to just the single story on top of each sites frontpage at any given moment. Since it only takes a few seconds to see what the major stories are, you can make sure you stay updated throughout the day - no matter how busy you are. Additionally, you can dive into any story simply by tapping on it and opening the original website where its published. * Bonus feature: Newsdesk contains an optional set of headlines from major Norwegian online newssites. NOTE: Newsdesk is not meant to be a substitution for in-depth surfing through your favorite sites, blogs and niche publications. Rather, Newsdesks selection of newssources is tailored simply to make sure you dont miss any major breaking stories throughout the day. Some of the icons are created by TWG (twg.ca), used under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license.

Es wäre schön, wenn man auch deutsche Headlines anstatt der englischen wählen könnte! Ansonsten gutes App mit integr. Browser.

Gehört leider zu den Apps, dessen Sinn sich mir nicht erschließt. Gott sei Dank kostenlos, sodaß man nur Zeit investiert. Dem Entwickler sei zu Gute gehalten, daß er sehr genau auf den mageren Leistungsumfang der Software hinweist.

A good little news app. Even has an internal browser to make it easier to navigate back and forth.

I like the concept, the function and the look of the app. Does what it says it will do and does it well. It would be nice to connect to a few more top news sources though (ie CBC) and have more options for categories beyond the 3 there now ( ie Health, sports, etc). The ability to add our own news sources would be excellent.
