Nora is an Oracle database client app, which was created to bring a basic database management and developing process to OS X.

Nora allows you to execute queries and pl/sql functions, manipulating table structures, view table data and properties, list database views and values, view images, edit table values and properties, list types, indexes and functions.

Nora support all Oracle versions, after 8i. Minimal memory footprint and multithreading for better performance and productivity. Nora starts in a second and not require java to operate with Oracle nither to draw UI.

Simple and Streamlined, but buggy

I was looking for a simple, streamlined client along the lines of Oracle Developer, but without the mess of java. Nora did a very reasonable job of it for the first week or so, and then started throwing “Could not allocate OID” errors every time I tried to connect to any database. Support was entirely unresponsive to my requests for help.

Good start, but needs additional work

Very happy that work has been done on a Cocoa based oracle sql app as SQL Developer just seems overweight and clunky. For basic interactions with databases/tables, this product works pretty well - larger databases/tables seem to crash the application though. I’m hoping development on this product is continuing and updated versions arrive soon.

It works, but just barely.

It is very feature light which makes it a pain to use. I would like to hit [CMD + Enter] to run my query, but I can’t. I have to highlight it then click on the button. There are no preferences and to my knowledge no keyboard shortcuts. What user wants to constantly switch between mouse and keyboard? This applications feels like they read a handful of tutorials and smashed that into oracle backend. I doubt the creator has used this app to do any real work or testings as the shortcomings are very apparent. Apple needs a 30 minute return policy so developers like this are left by the wayside.
