Description
Discover the powerful devotion to Mary, Undoer of Knots — a beautiful, reverent Catholic prayer app with a generous free version and optional premium upgrade.
In 1700, the artist Johann Melchior Georg Schmittdner painted Mary Undoer of Knots with exquisite grace. Venerated in the Church of St. Peter in Augsburg, Germany, this beloved image was inspired by the profound words of St. Irenaeus: “Eve, by her disobedience, tied the knot of disgrace for the human race; whereas Mary, by her obedience, undid it.”
The knots in our lives are the problems and struggles that seem impossible to solve: discord in the family, hurts between spouses, addiction, depression, unemployment, fear, loneliness, and more. Through the gentle hands of Our Lady, Queen of Mercy, these knots are untied.
