Now & Next is a great app for managing all the things you need to get done in life, whether those things are for work, home, personal or project. Having a "To-Do" list is all well and good, but we all know that life happens and as soon as you tick something off your list, it turns into the next thing that you need to do and so life continues. Never drop a ball, a spinning plate stopping or a deadline date by using "Now & Next". Now and Next Concept Heres the concept, busy people have lots of things to remember, lots of things that you need to get done. Some of those things will need to be completed by a certain date, whereas other things just need to sit on your to do list, so that you can do them when you get around to it. Now & Next introduces the concept of Task Streams and those streams can be used to manage unending sequential tasks for whatever reason you may need. When you enter a task that you need to complete it is entered into the stream as a "Next". As soon as you save the "Next" it is converted into the "Now" for that stream. So the "Now" displays your next task and when you update the task you enter what you have done and what task needs to be completed "Next". Which in turn becomes your "Now" and so you continue until such time as you are done and the stream can be removed or reset. Now & Next Working Example You get a sales lead, so you create a Now & Next Stream, give it a Title so you know what the task stream is for and you are then ready to go. Next open the Stream and you can add in some text to the streams Next Box, details of the opportunity and the task that you need to do next, for example, contact the customer to qualify the lead. You may also add a date if you have a deadline or a "must remember to do this by" kind of date. Saving the Stream will turn the "Next" in to the "Now" for that stream. So when listing all the "Nows" you have for your task streams and you can see that for that sales lead, you need to contact the customer to qualify the lead. When you contact the customer you agree that the opportunity is valid and must be raised on your sales system, so you update your "Now & Next" stream and enter into the "Next" box that he lead is valid, and the fact that you need to raise the opportunity in Salesforce, adding a date if you need to give yourself a deadline. Once you have raised the opportunity in Salesforce you can add another "Next " to the stream to set a task to setup the demo for the customer etc etc. As you create and add in multiple tasks to multiple streams from the home screen of your "Now & Next" app, you are able to show all your "Nexts" for today or all of your "Nexts" for the coming 7 days. The view is ordered by date and then any undated or past dated task is shown at the bottom of each list. Clicking any "Next" task on these lists will take you into the update screen for each task. Outside of the work environment Now & Next also works to help you record and sort your reminders or projects such as the garden, building extension or decorating.
