Description
The nRF Proximity App is a security application for Bluetooth® Smart proximity tags. Using Bluetooth® Smart enabled tags, with this application, you can tag your valuables and get an alert if they move out of range.
This app complements Nordic‘s nRF8002, single chip solution, for Bluetooth® Smart proximity tags and offer a complete end-to-end product development solution, compatible with Bluetooth v4.0.
The App support’s the following functionality:
- Connect to several proximity tags
- Alarm on Link Loss as default
- Optional “Extreme Security” (using RSSI) for short range alarm
- Optional “Location Tracking” (using GPS & Maps) to store location of lost tag
- Rename tag in App
- Set Link Loss alarm level for both tag and phone
- Use “Find tag” to send Immediate Alert when tag is connected, sounds alarm on tag
- Supports "Find my phone" in iOS 6, push button on tag to sound alarm on phone
Note:
- iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch 5th generation or the new iPad is required for Bluetooth Smart functionality.
- iOS 6 required for "Find my phone"
- Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
