Description
The Ohm Calculator Application will help you to quickly and easily calculate:
a) The value in ohms and the tolerance of a 4 colour bands resistor.
b) The value in ohms and the tolerance of a 5 colour bands resistor.
c) The nearest commercial resistor for a given resistance value.
Try the intuitive colour picker for setting the different bands of a physical resistor and find out, interactively, how the resistance value is show!
Best suited for electrical or electronics enthusiasts, hobbyists, DIYers, technicians, students and engineers.
Once you have selected a physical resistor, for instance, a 4 colour bands resistor, you can click on the 5 colours bands resistor tab in order to find out the equivalent resistor, at ease. Or vice versa, when switching from a 5 colour bands resistor to a 4 colour bands one.
As a plus, this application also includes a set of tables with the E-series of preferred values for commercial resistors, as defined in the IEC 60063 standard.
