one7days is a crowd-funding app where you donate a small amount to a different charity each week. It relies on power in numbers – the more people who join the movement, the bigger the global impact. Users can subscribe to give an automated $1 per week, or pay $52 upfront ($1 is allocated to the featured charity each week for one year), or you can give a little extra if you want to. Each week we feature a ‘Charity of the Week’ and specify the project and how the funds raised will support the cause. Users can give $1USD, $1AUD, $1NZD, $1CAD, €1EURO or £1GBP. How it works… You will be sent a push notification and an email each week about the featured charity. When you open the app, you can read about the Charity of the Week and there’s a button to ‘Give $1’. Click this, and choose either a $1 per week subscription or enter the amount of your choice ($10 or more as a one-off donation). You can sign in with email or login with Facebook – we do not ask for personal details other than your name and email address. The app will then redirect you to the payment page, where you’ll only need to enter your credit card details once into the secure payment gateway, powered by Stripe.
