openBIS at Mac App Store analyse

Introduction ------------ openBIS is an open, distributed system for managing biological information. It is being developed at the Center for Information Sciences and Databases (CISD) at the Department of Biosystems (D-BSSE) of ETH Zurich. The main goal is to support biological research data workflows from the source (i.e. the measurement instruments) to facilitate the process of answering biological questions by means of cross-domain queries against raw data, processed data, knowledge resources and its corresponding metadata. The openBIS software framework can be easily extended and has been customized for the following technologies: - High Content Screening - Proteomics - Deep Sequencing - Metabolomics Audience -------- This iPad application is used by laboratories to visualize the data contained by an openBIS database. Each server can customize the navigation flow. Usage ----- This client application allows to navigate a hierarchy of entities stored in openBIS. This entities are created by other applications. After login a screen with two panels should be presented: - The left panel is used to navigate the hierarchy. - The right panel shows the information of the selected entity.
