Description

Novocure is a commercial-stage oncology company pioneering a novel, proprietary therapy called Tumor Treating Fields, or TTFields, for the treatment of solid tumor cancers. Optune® is an effective, non-invasive treatment modality for patients with a Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). The device delivers alternating electric fields, in a low-intensity (1–3 V/cm) and intermediate frequency (200 kHz) to the tumor in the brain. The electric fields are delivered by ceramic gelpads (Transducer Arrays) that are placed directly on the scalp.
