Description
PA55 NYAPS is a new type of password manager. Instead of storing passwords (as most password managers do), PA55 NYAPS securely stores information on how to generate the passwords, i.e., password generation settings. Password generation settings along with a master secret, which is never stored, can help you generate complex passwords for you.
For instance, you can store settings about how to generate the password for your favourite email service. Thereafter, use your master secret (the same master secret for all your passwords) to generate the same password for that email service every time. If your password generation settings are stolen, no one can re-generate your passwords so long as you keep your master secret safe. PA55 NYAPS does not store your master secret.
Should you need to change the password for a service, there is an option to do so by increasing the issue number in the password generation settings. Should you need to include a certain type of characters in your password, there are options to do so in the password generation settings.
Why is PA55 NYAPS better than all current password managers?
(1) Your master secret is never stored and without it, none of your passwords can be generated.
(2) The actual passwords are never stored, not even in encrypted form, in the local device or any remote (e.g., cloud) storage.
(3) PA55 NYAPS is open-source (http://pa55.github.io/pa55nyaps-ios) and there is a desktop version, which is also open-source (http://pa55.github.io/pa55nyaps). There is no funny business: you do not need to trust us; instead, you can check for yourself what the program actually does.
