Great for listening to lectures on the go. Cant figure how to delete downloaded lectures and dont have the storage to download any more (Update- to make room for storage delete the app and re-download, individual lectures will be erased)
I wish I didnt have to use this app
If it werent for class recordings using this software and app I would not use it. One of the worst recording apps. I very much like Tegrity. This app doesnt let you review PowerPoint slides used by professors during their class lecture presentations. The play button feature fades away; when you try to tap on the play/pause button it takes you to another part of the recording. Not happy with this app!!!
Really bad!
At least make it compatible with the iPad Pro 12.9in resolution as well as split screen. This app is really not good.
With my university still used tegrity
Lets face it, tegrity wasnt fancy or laden with features. However, at least it was reliable and had useful features such as downloading a lecture..... Panopto lectures have been poor quality on iPad and online. My professors hate it. Half of our lectures are missing. It is terrible.
No speedy watching
Does not have the feature to make the lectures faster (1.5x speed)
This App Needs a Huge Overhaul
This app honestly isnt that great. My school uses this program to record our lectures and I like to listen to the lecture over again mostly when I commute to and from school which was the sole reason I downloaded this app. Problem #1: Not user friendly at ALL. I attend a fairly large educational institution and panapto is used school-wide. Because of this, there are literally hundreds of panapto videos that are organized at the discretion of the professors who use this software. So if I want to look at the folder for a specific course/professor I have to scroll through more than 250 folders every single time. There is no way to jump to folders that start with a specific letter such as “N” or “R” other than scrolling. Problem #2: And this is the main I felt the need to write this review. Despite all of the setbacks of this app I’ve still been a consistent user. The sole feature I appreciated was on the app I could download different panapto videos to a special folder within the app. This way I could simply and quickly locate the panapto videos I wanted to view without having to spend 5 minutes scrolling through hundreds of folders. Well with the new update that was released October 12th, 2016, this feature was removed. So now I am back to scrolling through hundreds of folders to find one video. This is extremely frustrating. If you are a consumer looking to use the services of panapto and you have a audience that is heavily app based, I would strongly reccommend you find another company unless this app is redesigned to meet better standards. If it wasn’t for the fact that this is the how my institution records lectures I would happily remove this app. I strongly urge this apps develops to take a better approach.
Dont Bother
This app does not load lectures on iPad. Desktop site works fine. IPad app has not worked for a year or more.
