Paris - Fodors Travel at Mac App Store analyse

The Fodors travel app is beautifully designed. The information is extraordinarily clearly presented, making excellent use of the iPads technological advances. The graphics are stunning, the maps clearly laid out, and the interactive aspects are very smartly incorporated. The descriptions of points of interest are also very well written. Undoubtably much thought and effort went into developing this first class travel tool. With or without a WiFi connection, it is a pleasure to have this comprehensive, easily navigable reference available. It has eclipsed LP for me. Bring this app along and you will sail through your itinerary! (I found the off-line maps, incidentally- seamlessly woven into the app itself. Not sure why this review is appearing twice, however.)

Its very pretty to look at but fairly useless when u are actually in Paris with out an internet connection. There are far to many free aps that work fantastic with GPS capabilities. I purchased this because I loved the book.. But this app is useless with out an Internet connection .. Guess what .. There are no Internet connections when you are in the subway.. Traveling on a bus or by foot trying to locate attractions. Definitely not worth the money.

Going out of my way to review this app because it made all the difference to my trip to Paris. From the offline maps to the Fodors Picks it was an indispensable tool. Of course one of the best attributes was also being able to call it up on my phone instead of opening a bulky book or clumsy map. Not Internet connection is required. Though I do wonder how the offline maps knew where I was since i was mostly offline and not on a cellular network. That was incredibly helpful.

I had two days in Paris on the end of a business trip and this app was very valuable. Paris is a city of great sites and great neighborhoods and this app gives good, quick overviews of both. You can click a button and find what is around you at any point (by category: sites, restaurants, etc.)- very cool. The Metro (subway) map is also nice to have. All in all this really helped me get the most out of my short two day visit.

The offline maps seem like they would be great since they show both the street and metro stops, but I try to use it offline it is not allowing me to zoom and/or it keeps freezing or closing the app. Please fix it!!!

I downloaded this app and downloaded the offline map. Half the time it couldnt find the street and I tried zooming in and th app crashed. Recommended things to do and places to eat werent very good. I used this app only for the subway map which was very very handy to have. I had to use a combo of 3 apps to get around Paris.

Tested it on a recent trip to Paris. Much better than the Lonely Planet app.
