Create a unique pattern inspired by Geelong Gallery exhibition, Cuttings—Elizabeth Gower (1 September to 25 November 2018). Gower is one of Australia’s most acclaimed contemporary artists with a career spanning forty years. Using hand-cut remnants from advertising materials and everyday products adhered to drafting film, canvas, boards and walls, the artist creates a multitude of designs that reference patterns from the natural world and the built environment. Inspired by this process, Pattern Play simulates the artist’s labour-intensive processes to create unique digital patterns which incorporate colour, texture and photographs.
