Description

This utility calculates US Federal Withholding, Social Security and Medicare taxes during calendar year 2018. It allows for setting the Social Security rate to zero after a maximum salary of $128,400 is reached. If federal withholding or tax rates change during 2018, an update will be released. This utility is simple to use and is designed as a personal "Pay Check" check and a small business payroll calculator. It can be used for both hourly and salary wages. Hourly wages should be entered as total for the pay period.

Pay Check

Fairly worthless app. Has no provisions to calculate pay for those with hourly wages. Guess I should have looked a bit closer before purchasing. Would like to have my $2 back

Pay Check Calculator

Not too helpful because there is no state withholding tax calculator - of course, one could look it up and put it in "Other."

Not worth it.

I just bought this and already regret it. Save your two bucks. Seriously. Its not really helpful at all, especially if you get a pay stub anyway. And there is no place for state tax.

This is a great utility for a small business with only a few employees. I get the information I need for my payroll in just a few minutes.

Federal Calculations wrong

sboerup · 14 years ago

When referencing the IRS Circular E, the calculations that this app produces are NOT correct. For smaller salary amounts, its not too far off. For larger ones it is quite a bit for the Federal calculation. Its a basic app and it doesnt do it correctly :(

Good payroll calculator for small business

The program calculates Federal withholding and FICA payroll taxes for 2012. It provides both the 4.2% and the 6.2% rate for social security.

I have a small business with less than 10 employees, I refuse to pay a payroll company $150+ per month to do my payroll. This is a great helper for me! It also helps when I do my quarterly reports! I like that you can pick your current ss rate. If your a frugal small business owner this should be great for you!
