Description

The essential tool for everyone using Apple Podcast Producer for recording of podcasts. Podcast Producer Remote (PCP Remote) can control several features of an Apple Podcast Producer Server [http://www.apple.com/server/macosx/features/podcast-producer.html] giving you flexibility and mobility. PCP Remote can browse your available cameras bound to a Podcast Producer Server and can control these. It is possible to start, stop, pause, cancel and also submit a recording to a workflow on the Podcast Producer Server. Additionally, the detail information about workflows accessible on the server can be queried. On the iPhone and iPod touch 2G it is also possible to make local audio recordings, listen again to these recordings and to submit these local audio recordings to (currently special) workflows on the Podcast Producer Server. With iOS devices capable of video recording (e.g., iPhone4, iPad2, newer iPod touches) video recordings can be uploaded to the Podcast Producer Server as well. Podcast Producer at your fingertips … :-) * Note: currently PCP Remote works only with PCP servers bound to OpenDirectory and not with installations bound to Active Directory *

A must have iPhone App for podcast producers admins

NickTruch · 16 years ago

As a podcast producer administrator in my university, I always have to worry about the status of my 43 podcast agents : is it offline, ready, paused, recording. And I must be abble to interact if something went wrong with a teacher, at every moment of the day, no matter where I am and when it is. So with my iPhone, I can combine PCP remote and iCal (synchronised with podcasting calendar by Mobile Me) and this is so great ! Thanks to the developers.

Very nice

Great addition to Podcast Producer

I think some of the previous reviewers didnt understand, that you need access to a Podcast Producer Server (comes with Leopard Server) to use this app. If that is the case, PCP Remote does exactly what you need: Easily choose a camera (e.g. in a classroom) and press record. When you are finished, you choose a workflow and the recording is processed by the server. I regularly use a different important features: During meetings I record the audio with my iPhones mic and then submit this directly to Podcast Producer using PCP Remote. This saves a lot of time and streamlines the whole process!

This application rocks!

Essential App *if* you Use Podcast Producer

Podmaker · 17 years ago

Thats it... The market for this app is limited to users of Podcast Producer (likely why this isnt a .99 app!). If you dont have access to PcP, this isnt for you. Its an amazing, evolving piece of software (like PcP itself). Everytime I demo this app, people are blown away. This developer is very open to feedback and further development.

Awesome!!

This app is very well done. Anyone that has an Apple Podcast server needs this app. Since Apple, in all its wisdom, took Podcast producer off Mountain Lion, this is the next best thing. Works perfectly!
