Espero que não quebre a funcionalidade por ser um soft meio velho, mas funciona exatamente como descrito.

It’s so easy to use and it does the job for me ! I like that we have the three choices of encryption with a password : 1- To block the opening of the document for unauthorized users 2-To protect against copying or extracting text from the document 3- To protect against the printing of the document. We think it could have been much more complicated to do that before using that nice light weight app ! - Facile à utiliser, ça fait le travail pour moi ! J’aime avoir les 3 choix de protection avec mot de passe : 1- Bloquer l’ouverture du document pour les utilisateurs non-autorisés 2- Protéger le document contre la copie ou l’extraction de texte et 3-Protéger le document contre l’impression. On aurait penser que ça aurait pu être beaucoup plus compliquer de faire ce genre de chose avant d’utiliser cette application poids plume !

Originally when I tested this out - it didnt appear to do anything one couldnt accomplish by simply printing to PDF (from Preview) and clicking on the "Security Options" button in the output dialog… but then it dawned on me, in that more and more I am putting stuff in the "cloud" - it would be nice to simply take the PDFs I already have, and in batch mode, encrypt them quickly rather than printing out each in Preview… that is where this application comes in real handy. Now I can take my financial receipts (even scanned ones) and quickly encrypt them for archiving.. Seems to work pretty quickly..

While the software does what it says, it crashes Mail 6.5 ran by Mac OS 10.8.4. Specifically, any email file that contains a SECURED, password-protected PDF file prepared by PDF Security cannot be opened on the automatic viewer in Mail, which happens every time you simply click once on your email. If you click twice to open the email on a new window, you CAN see the contents of the email itself that otherwise appear BLANK on the automatic viewer. Furthermore, the process is like a virus: it begins to extend and propagate to ALL emails you have and you will eventually not be able to see their content in the automatic viewer AND will crash your Mail 6.5 AND your operating system. I spent hours with Apple Tech support sorting this out. PLEASE FIX THIS! The only solution to avoid this right now is to have to delete the email you send or receive containing the Secured PDF file created by this defective software. This is not an option when you wish to keep record of important emails (thus SECURED)! By the way, if someone replies to your email containing the secured PDF file, and returns that file back to you, it will also crash Mail 6.4 and your OS 10.8.4. Please send out an update fixing this issue ASAP!

Note that this uses 128 bit RC4 encryption, not stronger 128 bit AES.
