Picky Music Player at Mac App Store analyse

Depuis iOS 7, je suis très déçu du classement dans lapplication Musique: Impossible davoir la liste des albums par genre ou par compositeur. Heureusement, cette App est là !

An sich gute App, die wie die frühere Musik-App (vor iOS7) von Apple war und sich auf lokal gespeicherte Musik und nicht irgendwelchen Cloudkrempel fokussiert. Es gibt auch wirklich praktische Features wie Albenfilter, die nur Alben mit z.B. mehr als zwei Liedern anzeigen. Leider wieder ziemlich fehlerhaft, der Entwickler scheint die Releases nie richtig durchzutesten. Wenn der Wiederholen-Modus z.B. auf "Repeat Song" steht, funktioniert einiges nicht richtig, bei Playlists wird immer nur der erste Song gespielt, egal welches Lied man antippt. Das ist auch immer reproduzierbar, sprich, wurde nicht getestet. Das ist seit mehreren Versionen so und auf Hinweise dazu reagiert der Entwickler nicht.

Ich nutze diese App in Verbindung mit Apple Music. Sie löst das Problem der Apple Music App, dass ich bei der Zusammenstellung von Playlists alle Titel nochmals zusätzlich als Album angezeigt bekomme. Erst nach dem Einsatz der Picky-App ist wieder Ordnung in den Alben. Ich habe einfach einen Filter auf die Alben gelegt (z.B. "Erst als Album interpretieren, wenn mindestens 4 Titel vorhanden sind"). Bestens!! Genau so muss es funktionieren!

Picky ist grundsätzlich eine gute Musik-App und gerade die Filtermöglichkeiten sind eine feine Sache, die ich so sonst nirgends kenne. Leider versprüht die App bisweilen allerdings den Charme eines Hobby-Projekts: Teilweise vergehen mehrere Sekunden, in denen Picky die Mediathek laden muss. Das Design ist zweckmäßig, aufgeräumt und übersichtlich, es fehlt aber ein Feinschliff – insbesondere der Dark Mode gefällt mir daher z.B. überhaupt nicht. Mir fehlen darüber hinaus Einstellungsmöglichkeiten, etwa um nicht per Swipe zwischen Titeln zu wechseln.

I very rarely write reviews. A product has to be a real stand out to spend this amount of time. But this is important. As quickly as possible I will tell you why this App is breed then the pre-installed iTunes "App". Picky is like the older iTunes App. Its good! It does the job. iTunes is terrible. It reroutes users to their store. They monopolize, manipulate and waste so much of a users precious time trying to get you to buy more music. Because they make money off of it. The worst thing for any customer, is to have their product tied to the machine that uses the product with no limitations. It creates bias, and complications when it comes to servicing the customer they PAYED already for both services/items. I have been an Apple user and fan for 10 years now. But those days are over. They used to be the good guys, the underdogs, and PCs dominated. Now that they have so much power, they abuse it and dont listen to their followers. The people who buy their products. They are just a large corporate pig now. And the amount of money theyve cost me is sickening. I would recommend staying far away from Apple, as they are only getting worse by the minute. Unfortunately its too late for me. I learned on a Mac. I have tried to switch but have been unable. And they abuse the power they have over their customers. Its pretty disgusting frankly. iTunes sucks. Take it off your Dock on your phone and replace it with this App, or any others that are well reviewed. (This helps, because then you dont hit iTunes by habit and you can used to an App that actual works, and doesnt send you to their store FOR NO REASON!) Ugh, they are just the worst now

I was wandering about, wondering how I could organize my vast array of music in a comprehensive fashion, when alas! I happened upon this application and it proved to be the most wondrous way to listen to my collection of music. Henceforth I shall only use this application. Cheerio!

This is an excellent music app, its what Apples offering should be, but is not. Highly recommended, grab a copy, you wont be disappointed.
