Description
To solve the Pigs in Clover puzzle,the player uses dexterity to roll four clay marbles through a circular maze into a "pen" in the center.
Pig In Clover game invented in 1889,A huge resulted when the inventor ,Waverly Freee Press reported,"The toy works are turning out 8,000 Pigs in Clover a day and are twenty days behind in their orders."
Pigs in Clover became incredibly popular. New York newspapers reported that the game captivated members of the royal court in Britain and that members of the United States Senate ignored their duties for hours while they worked on the puzzles.
The game was played at home, on buses, in the street, on park benches, etc. The game became a national preoccupation in the United States, prompting a number of newspaper articles. Senators took the game into the Senate Chambers during debates, and this started a frenzy of orders. Benjamin Harrison (US President from 1889-1893) is said to have played the game in the White House instead of tending to politics.
