Magazine is great, the app is terrible!

This has got to be one of the worst Newsstand apps out there. It is completely user unfriendly. First, it wants you to subscribe but it lists prices that are different that those posted on iTunes “In-App Purchases.” The company has never responded to this discrepancy or provided any explanation. Second, once you subscribe, the app constantly has the SUBSCRIPTIONS option showing up—in other words ignoring you’ve already subscribed. On top of that, the magazine web site will not recognize you as a subscriber! Third, when you launch the app, you get the option to Download, Read, or List View. Even if you’ve already downloaded the issue, you get the same options and it will even try to download it all over again. Dumb! The trick is to go to the DOWNLOADS tab to see what you have. It is NOT sorted in any fashion whatsoever, so you have to scroll through all your downloads to find the current issue. It should be sorted by date, but it is not. Seems to be sorted by the order you downloaded the issues. Another big drawback to this app. Fourth, the app virtually requires you to have an internet connection. You can read any download issue, but it keeps telling you that you need an internet connection and all you can do is read the issue. Duh! The app needs to understand the purpose of the Newsstand is to read issues offline later! Fifth, the app hangs and bombs a lot. For example, in the Titles view, trying to scroll through the issues often causes it to hang and then quit. Annoying. Finally, when reading an issue OFFLINE, there are no options to bookmark, mark as favorite, read later, or any method of highlighting an article. In short, the app is not ready for prime time. UPDATE: After several months, no contact from company. Web page "cant be reached" and no telephone calls returned. Company seems to be disintegrating. App still does not work.

Good publication, but very bag app. Always crash each minute. Very hard to success when downloading. A number review is accessible 2 months after the printed version

Happy to find the magazine in the App Store. Its a great resource for any GA pilot looking to discover North America and the Caribbean. Cant wait to see how it improves with each update!

Great Magazine but what is the point of this app?

This is not about the magazine, which I love, it is about this app, which I dont understand. So I can read issues online that I already get on paper. So is this just a reader app? Snoooooooze. I need access to back issues but back issues only go back to mid-2012, which is not helpful. Will issues from much further back become available? I think $5 per digital issue is too much considering the hundreds of place reviews that have been done.

False Advertising -American Campers

I joined this online magazine because their description both here and on their website implies that by joining you would get access to the American Campers website. I have tried for two weeks, both calling and emailing, and I cannot even get a return email or phone call. To date I have not been able to access what I feel I paid for. Without even a reply. Horrible customer service!!!!!!!!
