This is intended to be a trainer on the go app and as such is very good. Theres only 1 lesson in Spanish. But, theres about 10 scenes of dialogues for key discussion areas: at the airport, going through customs, asking directions, ordering breakfast, buying at the neighborhood store, at the hotel, at the emergency clinic, at a reception, at a restaurant, and a stroll through an area. These display text in either spanish or english or both while you are listening to them. I like this as it allows one to hear the material and see it in writing while saying it. THIS DISPLAY TEXT FEATURE IS NOT AVAILABLE in the Pimsleur full-length courses. My criticism is this: for $4.99, this application conveys too little content. Basically, if you buy this app., all you are doing is paying Simon & Shusters marketing loss leader costs for their full length programs along with some overhead costs for the iTunes store. THEY SHOULD HAVE A COMPLETE PIMSLEUR for the iPhone for $100. Then, I suspect, theyd sell like hotcakes. I assume they dont because they dont want to cut their profit margins on the full length courses.
Please Fix
I have the Pimsleur audio lessons and LOVE them. They are so easy to follow. The problem in this app is that when you are reading along with the conversations, all of the text is not there in the speech bubbles. PLEASE fix this. Also, I would love to see more of the lessons available but, please make them more affordable. At $5 each, that would be too expensive. Will give 5 stars when all text shows in the conversation bubbles.
Buyer beware!
Let the buyer beware. Before you get sucked into buying any other programs from the Pimsleur company at an attractive price, Google "Pimsleur scam" then run for cover!

This is only 1 part of some 60 lessons. The other 59 lessons are NOT available and @ about $5/lsn x 60lsns = $300 & that is outrageously expensive even if they come out with the rest of the 59 lessons. Stay away till they produce all 60 lsns at a price NO more Thanks $50 for the complete package.

I expected more from pimsluer, its a great company. This app is the exception, BUY THE REAL DEAL. Your wasting your time and money. There is one great lesson, ONE!!!!!!!! A little angry....
No trial period
No trial period... I had no idea what I was getting. For $5 from Pimsleur I assumed there would be something there. Its very basic and not much material. If there was a brief trial period I would have known not to get it. Maybe thats the point…
