A photo album of old photographs of Uzbekistan: architecture, streets and squares, moments from people’s lives, historical events. PIXUZ Black & White contains 100 black and white photographs from private collections. Each photo has a short comment as well as the author’s name and the date the photo was taken. All the photos were restored and color corrected. Whom are these photos for: Not only you will discover unique photographs from private collections, but you will get to know the history of Uzbekistan. Interesting moments from people’s lives, ancient architecture and original costumes of the past are illustrated here. Moreover, since each photo has a description, the application will be useful for history-lovers as well as people interested in the history of photography. What is represented on the photographs: - Cities - Streets - Buildings - People - Events Authors of photos: Kh.Devanov, M.Penson, V.Sirotkin, I.Dushkin, E.Khlubna, V.Kharitonov, P.Kildyushev, F.Fedorov, I.Panov, and others. Truly enjoyable bit of history

I can no longer travel because of health issues. So I treasure books and web sites and apps that suddenly immerse one in a different time and place. This is a wonderful app. The interface is easy to use, the photographs are clean and clear. The bits of commentary and dating of the pictures are the final touch to make this a truly enjoyable journey into another world. Thank you for all the work to put this together and sharing it with us.
