Poetree came to life as a passion project when I started writing poetry for my girlfriend and would send it to her sporadically throughout the day via text while we were at work. She adored it. She cherished all the volumes of Poetree I ever wrote her and saved them for safekeeping. I guess it worked - we got engaged! This got me to thinking. Then, one memorable day, I had an epiphany: everyone should be able to write, share and rate all kinds of Poetree. So I decided to create an app where people all over the world could share the love with their words. I added a level of competition because its fun and it challenges you in novel and exciting ways. It is a most elemental human desire to share deep words, feelings and ideas. The need to connect with people in profound and meaningful ways is innate. Poetree by its nature is soulful, enchanting and comes straight from the heart. You feel it at the core of your being.
