Description
No matter how many years of experience you have, pediatric ALS cases are always the most challenging. Based on William Porters popular Porters Pocket Guide to Pediatrics (5th Edition) published by Jones & Bartlett Learning, this app provides everything you need to respond quickly and efficiently to pediatric cases in the field and in the ER.
Designed in close partnership with Jones & Bartlett Learning author William Porter, this app provides checklists and protocols for pulseless arrest, bradycardia, BLS, NRP and hypothermia, along with many useful charts and calculators: trauma scores, dynamic burn charts that instantly calculate fluid dosages by tapping on burn areas and entering patient weight, ET tube chart, defib chart, drug dosage calculators and triage protocols. Also included is a section on analgesics, antiemedics and antagonists, and all information is organized for easy search and display in emergency situations.
Bill Porter is a practicing Life Flight nurse based in Bend, Oregon and is and a nationally-recognized expert in pediatric ALS. In addition to advising on content, Bill personally reviewed this app and approved its release.
