Makes My Life Easer

The Yowling Cat · 14 years ago · v1.2.1

I have a Flickr Pro account, and like to upload all my photos and videos to it as backup. Poster makes it easy to upload, tag and organize photos and videos all at one time. Much more intuitive and straightforward than doing it all on the Flickr website, where you have to upload first, then tag and organize. Poster also makes it easy to upload to Facebook and Smugmug.

Its Ok

It get this app hoping that I could upload photos to a Facebook group that I administer. It only uploads photo to your personal account.

Works some of the time, not with Sierra

GenXrguy · 9 years ago · v1.6.3

Using Poster to upload to Smugmug. Getting errors today on random photos from the same camera roll, "The data couldn’t be read because it isn’t in the correct format.” No idea why, but I keep starting the upload again and it is hammering through. Update: Doesn’t work with Sierra. Can;t get the upload screen to show with SmugMug. Logs in select account, no app launches. Update 2: Worked after newest patch…once. Uploaded 375 photos to SmugMug, then tried to upload 230 more and the app doesn’t launch. Restarted, same result. Back to the drawing board.

Great for transferring files to SmugMug from Aperture!

Really great product for transferring files to Smugmug from Aperture! The plugin works excellent! Now I dont have to export the photos out of Aperture first to then turn around and upload to Smugmug! Great integration in the plugin! I have OS X Lion and the Aperture 3, BTW! All the latest and works great!

ok for 10 images or less

Uasky · 14 years ago

This seemed like a wonderful Idea, but this programs stalls while posting at about 10-20 images, and there is no way to restart the downloading once it stalls. If you want to download larger quanities at a time I would look somewhere else.

Good but needs small improvement

Cliff1066 · 14 years ago

I have used this app for a while to upload to Flickr and Facebook. Great at uploading, I always use. The only issue I have is that it has problems sending to the correct Facebook page. I administer 3 pages. If I could easly set-up those accounts, and choose which one I wanted, I would rate the app as a 5. It just needs a little work on Multi-use facebook accounts. If you have only 1 account, then there is no problem working with that 1 account and would have no issue recommending it to you. Its easy to use and does a great job.

What happened with the update!?

Prof Murder · 14 years ago

The latest update seems to have broken the Aperture export plugin as well as resulting in an error every time I try to post a tagged photo. This was a great app until now. What a waste of money…
