Description

Pryv Desktop app companion ------------------------------ Pryv Master and make sense of your digital life Pryv is about putting the user at the center of his personal data. Collect your data from all kinds of sources into a private space; visualize and explore it; extend and enrich your life streams by sharing selectively and including your relatives’ and friends’, having common streams just as in real life. Pryv is an innovative reflection of your digital self better in sync with your brain than any folder & file organization or linear chronological sequence. We believe a more visual environment connecting events and contextualizing them supports the thinking and emotional process better. Any solution claiming to reunite personal data streams and putting the user in the center must offer guarantees about privacy, ownership and control. Pryv is technically and ethically built around those principles from the ground up. Pryv Desktop is the companion app enabling you to collect photos and notes that you add to your Pryv life streams. Your data can be viewed both on your app or dynamically on your Pryv browser. I can share my data streams privately and selectively. confused

i’m a bit confused as to how to use this application? when i open it, it doesn’t show on the dock but rather, it becomes an icon on the top bar, and you can’t really do much with it. you can open up your pryv, which is actually a website — i found that rather inconvenient as this means every time i use it, i would have to wait for the website to load. also, i tried to create a pryv note, and it said i had created the note, but when i checked the pryv and refreshed, it was not there. i loved the idea, had a lot of potential, but for now, uninstalling.
