Description
This app contains 4 games that have been designed for children and classroom teachers to gain mastery in the essential elements of yoga informed mindful movement. These games are designed to be used with a hand held phone. They are meant primarily to instruct the user in the mechanics of movement and the memorization of Pure Edge curriculum sequences while being played.
The app is divided into 4 games. Forms gives the student an opportunity to guess at pictures of yoga informed movements and guess their common name. Assemble reinforces the student’s
new learning by giving the student an opportunity to decipher a puzzle with the same pose name. Sequence allows the student to guess where a particular yoga pose would fit in a course of Pure Edge Curriculum movement sequences. Finally Benefit teaches the student through quizzes what are the basic elements that constitute the movement: breathing, anatomy, core cardiovascular effects.
Ultimately the student or teacher who uses the app is gaining mastery over the field of yoga informed mindful movement appropriate for classrooms. This app is under continuing development and will be updated depending on the needs of the classroom teachers.
