Pyramids allows you to create and customize population pyramids to fulfill your demographic infographic fantasies! ** Please take the time to rate the app if you download it. Any other feedback is welcome, too. Thanks! ** You can: - Create as many population pyramids as you want - Add as many groupings to them as youd like and rearrange those groupings with ease - Customize the colors, fonts, appearances - Easily export the images as .png or .pdf - Automatically import data from the US Census Bureaus International database - Drag pyramids into other OS X apps that support receiving dragged files (Mail, Pages, Keynote, etc.) - Impress your friends, coworkers, and family with your demographic prowess - Use it to teach students about demography in different parts of the world Pyramids is a simple app that does one thing and tries to do it well. I built it out of the need to create pyramid diagrams and due to frustrations with the available tools. Help me help you: if you need features that arent here, please let me know and I will evaluate their inclusion in a future release. p.s. The fonts that appear in the font menu depend on what you have installed on your machine. Some of those fonts may look silly when used in this application. You may lose karma points for using MS Comic Sans. ** Pyramids is retina-ready. Hi-res demography.

Great App

I’m a Political Science student in college and this is a great tool and source to sneak into papers. I’ve used it a few times and showed it to a few professors who absolutely nerded out over it. I can spend hours on this just going through various population pyramids. It’s definitely fun to download and try. I highly recommend!

Voilà un logicile trés facile à prendre en main pour générer des graphiques en forme de pyramide (pyramide des âges par exemple). Quelques améliorations a penser : - export impossible au format png et pdf (je ny suis pas arrivé autrement quen imprimant en pdf) - possibilité dimporter un tableur (numbers ou excel) Sinon cest du trés bon travail, le logiciel fait ce pour quoi il a été pensé. En attendant les améliorations je met 4*. Merci

After searching for quite the long time, I found the perfect tool to develop my population graphs. Very easy to use with a good amount of features. It would be better if you could change the bottom axis to numbers instead of percentages. Overall, a very useful and well-designed app.
