This app brings the qfracture.org hip, wrist and spine fracture risk assessment tool to the iPhone. You can use QFracture to estimate your risk of developing hip fracture or osteoporotic fracture (hip, wrist or spine) over the next 1-10 years. The algorithms have been specifically developed by Prof Julia Hippisley-Cox and Dr Carol Copeland in the UK to identify people at high risk of these fractures so they can be assessed in more detail to reduce their risk. The original research was done using the QResearch anonymised medical research database and published in the British Medical Journal in 2009 (BMJ 2009;339:b4229).
