Become the first human ever to visit other galaxies by running millions of light years in what feels like 5 kilometers! You’ve volunteered for the human trials of an intergalactic device that’s powered by your feet and defies the laws of physics. You will set out on a journey of discovery, meeting real galaxies in the cosmos and learning what makes them unique. If the technology holds together, your 5K trip will conclude with a visit to a supermassive black hole from which there is no escape! Hooray! Race Through Space is a fitness experience designed to not only teach you about different celestial bodies but also to give you a sense of their actual distance, where 5 kilometers becomes proportional to nearly 55 million light years. The journey begins in the Milky Way, which is more than a tasty candy bar, but is also our home galaxy. You’ll run through various galaxies with names like Sombrero, Needle, Black Eye, and Whirlpool, culminating in a visit to the first black hole that has ever been photographed by humans, the supermassive black hole at the center of a galaxy called M87. This narrated audio adventure is designed to EDUTAIN with the option to listen to your own music between galactic stops as well as display actual images of the various heavenly bodies you pass.
