Description

Simple to use, Randov finds percentiles and cumulative probabilities for some common probability distributions: normal (Gaussian), Snedecors F, Students t, exponential, Poisson, binomial, and geometric. With this mobile application, you wont ever need to use a statistics textbook appendix, formula, or an expensive graphing calculator to find probabilities/p-values! In the screenshot below, a z score calculation is shown: the mean and standard deviation are set to 0 and 1, respectively. The chance of a z-score less than 1.791 (input value) equals 0.963 (output value). Also, The z-score corresponding to a cumulative probability of 0.348 (input value) equals -0.391 (output value). In addition, two random number generators (discrete and continuous) are included.

Good application

The interface is perfect and the app is priced very reasonably. But, I would like to see some additional distributions included. In particular, it would be nice to see the Gamma, Inverse Gamma, inverse exponential, Negative Binomial and bivariate normal Distribution Also, raw and central moments would also be nice. Keep up the good work.

Very little info on different functions. Doesnt support iPhone 5 or later screen ratios.

If you could increase the range of the probabilities (to extend beyond 3 sigma or so) perhaps using scientific notation, that would be awesome. Otherwise, nice app.

Amazing little calculator

I teach statistics and econometrics and frequently need a p-value calculator in the classroom. Ive been waiting for one that generates p-values for a variety of commonly used distributions. Randov does exactly that, and is beautifully laid out as well. Kudos to the developer for creating a very useful app with great aesthetics and a simple user interface.
