Description
In partnership with FEMA and the Ad Council, the Ventura County Sheriffs Office of Emergency Services localized the Ready campaign in 2011 to assist Ventura County residents in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from a local emergency or disaster within our community.
The Ready Ventura County mobile app was launched in 2017 and features include six main categories: 1) Creating an Emergency Supply Kit; 2) Developing a Family Communications Plan; 3) Being Informed of Local Hazards; 4) Finding Helpful Maps and Routes; 5) Staying Informed during a Disaster; and 6) Getting Involved to Help Others.
Our goal is get the public involved and ultimately to increase the level of basic preparedness across Ventura County.
