real tides gps at Mac App Store analyse

Ancien utilisateur dun Palm Tréo 680 je navais pas retrouvé jusque là déquivalent de Tidetool. Cette appli (Gratuite sur Palm) donnait la marée à un lieu donné avec la hauteur deau exacte. Lappli donnait aussi les heures de levé et de couché du soleil. realTide fait tout ça en version modernisée. 4 étoiles et pas 5 car les hauteurs mesures en pied et pas en mètre (Pas de parametrage possible). Bonne appli.

Ich sitze im Moment auf Mauritius in der Nähe von Mahebourg und schaue aufs Meer. Wir haben Flut. Gleichzeitig behauptet diese App wir hätten Ebbe. Und das ist nicht das erste Mal, dass die angezeigten Tide-Daten in keiner Weise der Realität entsprechen, nicht einmal annähernd. Dennoch 2 Sterne, da die App selbst gut aufgemacht ist. Würde die "patentierte Formel" zur Berechnung funktionieren, dann gäbe es deutlich mehr Sterne. Fazit: nett zum anschauen, aber mit der aktuellen Berechnungsmethode völlig sinnbefreit.

Auf den ersten Blick ganz ansprechend muß sich das App noch in der Praxis beweisen. Leider fehlt Entscheidendes: die europäischen Gezeitenströme werden NICHT einbezogen, was ein großes Manko ist (werden Updates diese künftig einbeziehen?). Übel finde ich, daß in der Produktbeschreibung dies nicht erwähnt wird. On first sight the app looks neat. Now its got to prove its worth at a real sailing turn. Unfortunately, for Europeans a decisive feature is missing: the European tidal currents are not included (hope that updates would later-on also include the very important streams of Atlantic/North Sea). Therefore, the app is of only limited use for me. What upsets me is that the product description doesnt tell that ONLY US stream information are incorporated.

App funktioniert im indischen Ozean nicht ("für die GPS Position können keine Daten interpoliert werden") und die Daten der nächstgelegenen Position haben keinerlei Bezug zur Realität. Fazit: Fehlkauf

Ive been purchasing apps for four years, this is the best one Ive experienced, bar none. If you are a recreational boater this fast, highly functional, easy to use app will allow you to eliminate the need for tidal charts. Also, the map feature loads quickly and works extremely well. The app lets you know at a glance the tidal depth at your current location, and anywhere else (for example where you are headed via a list of locations) and its accurate. Its quicker and easier to use than a simple tidal chart. Thanks to the designers for visually appealing graphics with no ads and no unnecessary clutter. Lastly, Im just a happy customer with no ties to the company.
