If you lose your case, they will claim they helped you out because you can take traffic school to reduce a point off your record. So basically they can use this loophole in their guarantee to not pay you. Check your court for eligibility. Even if you decide to use them, you can convince them for a lower price. I only paid about $200 instead of $250.
