Red Pine is a growth and yield model for even-aged red pine stands in the Lake States. Its purpose is to provide owners of red pine timber an easy, flexible way to model management activities to achieve desired timberland goals. These owners can be from the private sector, state and county governments, or the US Forest Service in the management of our National Forests. Management can be directed toward a number of objectives such as wildlife habitat and protection, recreation and hiking trails, soil protection and stabilization, timber production and more. Or the objectives can be a combination of two or more end goals. The App has been pre-loaded with two examples.
