Sir James Redhouse, an English orientalist who spent years living in the Ottoman Empire, published his English-Turkish dictionary A Lexicon: English and Turkish in 1861 in Istanbul. Later, he published the complementary Turkish-English dictionary Turkish and English Lexicon in 1890. Redhouse dictionaries have continued to be regularly updated and published in expanded versions, preserving the well-respected name in the area of English-Turkish/Turkish-English dictionary publishing.

Redhouse adına güvenerek aldım ve kesinlikle hayal kırıklığı yaşadım. İngilizcede günlük hayatta kullanılan bir çok kelime mevcut değil. Olan kelimelere de verilen karşılık adedi son derece kısıtlı ve eksik. App store’dan bedava indirebilecğeiniz Tureng bu sözlükten kat be kat daha iyi. Umarım redhouse adına yakışır hale getirecek bir güncelleme yaparlar.

When it works, it’s okay
I’ve been using this app for over a year now, and it was generally a decent app for quite some time. It doesn’t always have exactly the word that I need, but I appreciate the fact that the verbs generally show their endings. However, recently, it has been crashing inexplicably, frequently when I switch to another application. This is annoying when I am trying to do my homework, and need to refer to a dictionary. If it were fixed, I could give this app at least one more star.
