reFine presents a new technique for performing selective sharpening, detail enhancement and edge aware smoothing useful for removing skin blemishes. Using high-quality edge preserving filtering, there are considerable speedups and memory savings over existing methods. Our approach decomposes the image into three detail layers: course, medium and fine. Each of the detail layers can be manipulated separately in various ways, for instance, sharpening or smoothing. Add to that Shadow, Midtone and Highlight adjustments and you have quick isolation of image features for selective filtering. Can make some great looks fast!

Easy to use , makes cool looks, almost looks like the photo becomes 3 dimensional.

Not bad, but (especially) PerfectlyClear, Camera Flash, NoiseMaster, Adobe PS Express (free) all are far better at making dark/noisy, "unrefined" pics look a lot better, very quickly, and very easily. The other part this app offers is essentially tone mapping/pseudo HDR—it does this fairly well, but so do many other apps, which also do a lot more. Not bad, though: Worth adding to my large collection! combined with the usual photo editing apps does the trick a whole lot better.

I LOVE using this app! I love the control it gives me to either sharpen or soften specific details. I can create an HDR-like effect or one that resembles an oil or water painting. But EVERY time, while it is "Rendering…" the app crashes and closes without having saved. I have tried to contact support, but I am sent to the developers web page, and Ive been unable to find ANY help there. I also have, and frequently use, one of their other apps, Rays. It is another great app, which I cannot recommend highly enough, and I have NEVER had any problems with it. So I know these developers are more than capable of creating excellent products. Please, fix this issue, so I may return to rate reFine the 5 stars it deserves when working properly.

Please fix.. Keeps crashing
