Electronic edition of The Republic Newspaper in Columbus, Indiana. Founded in 1872 by father-son Isaac M. and Isaac T. Brown, The Republic is one of the oldest family-owned newspapers in the country. The Republic has been recognized scores of times by state and national organizations for achievements in news reporting, advertising and circulation, including winning the coveted Kent Cooper Award from the Indiana Associated Press in 2009 for service to the community following a major flood. The Republic also prints and distributes dozens of specialty publications including She, Columbus Parent, Discover Columbus, Prime Time, The Business Connection and Enjoy! Seven days a week The Republic focuses on its unique role as the provider of in-depth coverage and analysis of local news affecting the lives of readers in Bartholomew and surrounding counties. Daily single e-edition: $.99 Sunday single e-edition: $1.99 Subscription options Your subscription will start with the latest available issue at $11.99 per month . The subscription will include the current issue if you do not already own it and subsequently published future issues. Payment will be charged to your app store account at confirmation of purchase. This subscription will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period, your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. The cost of the renewal will match the initial subscription price. You may turn off auto-renewing subscriptions by going to your user’s Account Settings after purchase. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during your active subscription period.
