Description
The Swedish grid (in Swedish: Rikets Nät, RT90) is the coordinate system used for government maps in Sweden.
This system is often used on Swedish charts. For example, all hostel locations of the most popular Swedish Tourist Association (svenskaturistforeningen ) are marked using these coordinates.
This application is a simple converter, which allows you to type in the position in RT90, and as a result it shows a pin on the map represented by this location.
Sample locations:
X: 7533119 Y: 1618352 (X is the north latitude and Y is the east longitude), shows pin for STF Mountain station Kebnekaise
X: 6802514, Y: 1348550 - hostel in Sälen
X: 6577608, Y: 1633445 - climbing area in Nacka Kvarn, near Stockholm
It also shows you driving directions between the selected point and your current location using the built-in maps application.
Important information:
- RT90 is a Swedish grid system, therefore all typed in locations must be located in Sweden.
- works only on iPhone 3.0+
