Description

Sailing Weather is a simple app used to determine if the weather forecast is good enough to go sailing based on your preferences. Set your preferred weather conditions for temperature, rain, wind and a sailboat icon is displayed if the weather is within those parameters, a house icon is displayed otherwise. Features - Accurate weather forecast - Touch the daily weather forecast to get a detailed hourly weather forecast - Select a forecast start and end time to get the forecast for the hours you are actually awake - Redesigned menu - Weather alerts displayed when near your location - Scales beautifully on both small and large screens - Fast load time - Small size - English and metric weather data selected automatically based on your location - Manually select your weather scale and time format - Location based on GPS, zip code, city/state or city/country (GPS is slow, entering a location is much faster) Powered by Forecast http://forecast.io Please email [email protected] with any issues or feature requests before giving the app a negative rating.

The app is telling me that Boston will see wind between 10-13 mph today. Just saw that were seeing gusts of 50 knots.

Its just a bad user experience. On top of that some really poor weather model is being used. Avoid.

Pretty basic not much vital info for sailing. I get the same info from my local news channel app. Pretty sure some of the preference features dont work. I g

Stopped working

This app was great when it worked, but it stopped working recently. The icons telling you whether to go sailing or stay-at-home no longer display. I love the simplicity of the interface, but now the app has become useless.

This app is really helpful, I love that I can set my weather preferences and see how the weather is forecasted to progress hour by hour - and it is usually accurate! Finally, a cheap weather app for sailors. My only suggestion would be to also list the speed of wind in knots, not only mph. Definitely download!

App from hell!

Not usable.and cannot be removed from my iPad. Support takes me to some irrelevant website.
