Islam is one of the misunderstood religions.  If you watch TV these days, it may seem that Islam "supports" terrorists. Do Muslims really "believe in" the Moon God? Is Islam a new religion invented in 7th century? Islam is a way of life, continuation of Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, etc) calling to believe in One True God. According to Islam, the purpose of life is to get to know self and life-long struggle to improve your character and overcome your ego. As Muslims we strive to become our best version so we can attain success and peace not only here, but hereafter as well. This fine balance between seeking success here (dunya - short term) and hereafter (akhirah - long term) challenges every Muslim to look into the world with a different worldview.   We look at this different Muslim worldview as an opportunity. Today we dont have a social network targeted to Muslims. This is why we are building Salam.App for Muslims and those who believe that it is not about "me" (ego) or what I have to show off, but it is about us together as a community how we grow, how we help and serve each other to end extreme poverty, to end extreme hunger and give hope and opportunity for those of us less fortunate. Hopefully, we will attain Gods acceptance and pleasure to achieve success, happiness and peace here and hereafter.
