Description

This tool emulates a mechanical sliderule used to find elevation and azimuth angles toward a satellite in GeoStationary orbit. The user can move the slider in order to set the subsatellite longitude (projection of the satellite onto the equator). Slider has wrap-around functionality when it goes off the screen. The subsatellite longitude can also be digitally input by double-tapping the slider. Double-tapping the map area gives the user the option to be located on the Earth. Lat and Lon can be digitally set as well. Elevation and Azimuth angles toward the satellite are then automatically computed. ************************************************** Some of the new features included in Pro version: - Slider wrap-around functionality - General bug fixes - Elevation and Azimuth contours are now accurate - Higher resolution latitude and longitude lines - Equator and Greenwich Meridian are highlighted - Digitally enter satellite location - User automatic location on the Earth using GPS or triangulation - Ground latitude and longitude can be input digitally - Help functionality ************************************************** Future version will include Map zoom in/out.
